As Michigan takes its first steps into fall this year, I'm sure many Michiganders are gearing up to go leaf peeping and take all the cute fall pics their hearts desire.

There are so many gorgeous views in northern Michigan when the leaves do finally decide to change into those vibrant hues of yellow, gold, orange, red, and maroon.

But, if making the trip out of town isn't in the cards, or the M-22 scenic route and the Tunnel of Trees is just too busy or "touristy" for you, there are plenty of places right here in greater Lansing to take in gorgeous views and take fantastic pictures!

Moores Park is dense with trees, so plenty of foliage to turn colors. Plus, you get the added bonus of having Lansing history in the background of your photos with the Wynken, Blynken, and Nod smokestacks there.

3. Potter Park Zoo in Lansing
