According to Yahoo! News, Frankenmuth's Bavarian Inn Lodge is going to expand its current indoor water park and family entertainment center by 100,00 square feet, making it the largest indoor water park in the state of Michigan.

The Largest Indoor Water Park in Michigan

The President of the Bavarian Inn Lodge, President Michael Keller Zehnder, remarked that the enhancement will create "unique attractions and new types of experiences, within our resort, for all ages."

The new expansion will introduce over 20 new attractions, including a large indoor wave pool, an adult-only swim-up bar, a new series of water slides, and plenty more.

When Will the New Water Park Additions be Open?

If you're wondering when you and the kids will be able to enjoy the new amenities while on your vacation in Frankenmuth, it's going to take a little while. Groundbreaking and construction will take place on December 13th, with "certain new areas of the family fun center" opening in late fall of 2023, with hopes that the remaining attractions will open in spring 2024. So at the time of this announcement, you've got about a year and a half until the newest and largest expansion is open.

Not to worry though, you'll still be able to enjoy the current offerings of pools, water slides, indoor mini golf, arcade games, and more while construction is taking place.
