Does Anyone Know What’s Happening at This Intersection in Lansing?
Here's What the South Lansing Meijer is Welcoming to Town
Does anyone know what's happening with this corner? There's some big change happening on Saginaw near 127.
If you've lived in Lansing for a while, then you've probably noticed this corner before. I'm talking about the southeast corner of Saginaw and Homer near the 127 interchange.
It's sat empty and abandoned for a few years now. What was once a gas station became an abandoned building. And what was once an abandoned building is no more.
Lansing Building Torn Down
If you've driven by this intersection recently, you've probably noticed this major change. The former gas station building that was still standing has now been torn down. What's left now is a pile of rubble and some construction vehicles standing by.
There's no word or signage on what the future holds for this site. So, I'm turning to YOU, Lansing.
Do You Know What's Happening at This Intersection in Lansing?
From one nosey Lansing resident to another; do you have any idea about what's happening with this corner?
What the site/former building bought? Was it just time to tear it down and just list the property for sale?
If the site did get purchased, what can we expect to come to town? Another gas station? Or maybe something epic, like a Sonic?
While I will continue to speculate, I doubt that would make for the best spot for a Sonic. That intersection is bonkers enough as it is.
