Nixon Hills Annual Neighborhood Garage Sale
You know it's that season. The Nixon Hills Annual Neighborhood Garage Sale is just one of many that bargain hunters look forward to every year. This year's dates and times are Thursday (5/4) from 5:30pm to 8pm, Friday (5/5) from 8am to 5pm, and Saturday (5/6) from 8am to 3pm. Nixon Hills is located off Nixon Road between Saginaw and St. Joe.
Cruise to Holt
Every Friday night from now through the end of September, look for weekly cruise-ins in the Holt Farmers Market parking lot. This Friday (5/5) is the first cruise-in of the season - so you know it's going to be fun. Show off your car or just come look at everyone else's. There'll be a food truck, a DJ, giveaways and lots more fun.
MPSF Commercial Bank Mason 5K
The MPSF Commercial Bank Mason 5K is Friday night (5/5) in downtown Mason. The Mason Public Schools Foundation hosts this annual event. Runners of all levels, walkers and participants of all skill levels are invited to attend. Sign up in advance here.
2023 Spring Fling Pancake Breakfast
As if pancakes weren't enough to get you out of bed on Saturday morning (5/6), how about helping out the Mason Firefighters Association at the same time? The 2023 Spring Fling Pancake Breakfast is Saturday (5/6) from 7am to 11am at the James M. Pelton Memorial Fire Station on West Ash Street in Mason.
Walk MS: Lansing
Walk MS: Lansing is Saturday morning (5/6), beginning at 10am at Jackson Field in Lansing. Lend a hand (and your feet!) and help the local MS community reach their goal of $42,000 toward the fight against Multiple Sclerosis.
Tidy Up REO Town
Be part of what makes Lansing beautiful this Saturday (5/6) and help Tidy Up REO Town! Disposable gloves, trash bags, and maps will be provided at check-in, and then volunteers will walk the river trail and surrounding neighborhood picking up trash. Your attendance will make a difference!
Hoods Up!
Car enthusiasts are going to love this! This Saturday (5/6) beginning at 10am, it's Hoods Up! at Lansing's R.E. Olds Transportation Museum. Ever wanted to sneak a peek at the motors in all the spectacular vintage vehicles housed at the museum, this is your chance.
Spring on the Farm
Shawhaven Farm in Mason hosts Spring on the Farm Saturday and Sunday (5/6 and 5/7), and again next weekend (5/13 and 5/14). You're invited to "come see the baby animals and play on the farm. There'll be lambs, kids (goat babies), piglets, calfs and more to see, with an area available for holding lambs and kids, plus have pictures taken."
Family Day at Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum at MSU
This Saturday (5/6) is the first Saturday of the month... that means Family Day at the MSU Broad Art Museum! Register in advance and bring the kids for free hands-on fun and interactive family activities throughout the museum.
2023 Donut and Beer Fest
Donuts. Beer. Let's go! You'll have to drive to LMCU Ballpark in Grand Rapids for this one, but the 2023 Donut and Beer Fest might be worth the trip. In addition to the obvious, there's also plenty of live entertainment.
LugCon
All your favorite superheroes (maybe YOU'RE one of them?) are gathering for LugCon this Saturday night (5/6) at Jackson Field as the Lansing Lugnuts host Dayton. Everyone gets a free comic book, and there'll be comic book themed events throughout the game. First pitch is 7:05pm.
MSU Horse Barns Play Date
This Sunday (5/7) from 11am to noon, it's a MSU Horse Barns Play Date hosted by Lansing Area Littles. Bring the kids and plenty of carrots to feed the horses in the horse barns on Collins Road at MSU. Register in advance here.
