Lansing Celebrates Big Penny’s 100th Truck Munch
Lansing is throwing a Big Penny party!
If you live, work, or play in Lansing, chances are you've heard of and likely driven under Big Penny.
What is Big Penny?
Big Penny is the affectionate name Lansing gave the "Too Tall Truck Munching Bridge" over Pennsylvania Avenue near Potter Park Zoo. If you're driving a truck, RV, or other vehicle that's above 12 feet in height, be aware that you're about to get "munched" on by Big Penny.
Speaking of Big Penny munching trucks, STUPID - Lansing is throwing a bash in honor of the ole gal. "A celebration of 100 Too Tall Truck munches since 2004!!"

If you follow the Big Penny saga, you know that the signs displayed outside the bridge note how many Too Tall Trucks she's munched this year as well as since 2004. And Big Penny munched her 100th truck on August 22. You can see video of it live HERE. Be warned that the audio is very NSFW.
When and Where is the Big Penny Party?
If you'd like to celebrate this momentous occasion, mark your calendar for Wednesday, August 27. The party is happening from 6 to 9 pm on the lawn at the corner of Beaver and Turner Streets in Old Town Lansing.

This is a completely free community event. Plus, it's happening right near Ozone's Brewhouse, which will be featuring Big Penny -themed food and drink specials. Also, a fun bonus for all my fellow sticker fans—they'll be giving away 100 of these cool Big Penny stickers for free. Get more info about this event HERE.
