Yelp’s Top-Rated Lansing Restaurant Might Surprise You

I love knowing where the best places to eat are in Lansing. That's why I'm part of the Lansing Foodies Facebook group. And that's also why I rely on websites like Yelp.

Because who doesn't want to eat well?

When people patronize a restaurant, they can leave a review and a star rating on Yelp, ranging from one to five stars. And it's these ratings we're taking a look at to determine some of the best restaurants in Lansing.

Why Yelp's Rankings Didn't Make Sense

While Yelp isn't the end-all be-all of reviews for restaurants, it's certainly a widely used platform. However, that doesn't mean Yelp is free from errors.

When I asked Yelp for the "best restaurant in Lansing", it gave me a pretty extensive list. But when I looked closer, I noticed the highest-rated restaurants were not listed in the correct order.

Best Restaurants in Lansing According to Yelp

If you take a look at Yelp, you'll see that what should be the number one restaurant is actually rated fourth; the number two restaurant is rated first; and the number three restaurant came in at 13. And then when I asked Yelp for the 'best restaurants in Lansing' from another computer, the order of the list changed again! I'm not sure what that's about, but here are the actual top three best restaurants in Lansing according to Yelp:
