Foodie Finds: Lansing’s Most Delicious New Spots This Year
Lansing has had quite an epic year when it comes to restaurant openings.
2025 has seen over 35 different cafes, bakeries, fast-casual eateries, and sit-down restaurants open. So, people have a lot to choose from as far as places to eat.
As far as my favorites though, there are a few that stand out.
Top New Restaurant Picks of 2025
So, if you're looking for a personal food recommendation from me—the person who always talks about food—take a look and see what made my top places in Lansing this year.
REO Town Clubhouse in REO Town Lansing
The bread that comes to the table is absolutely divine. And if you're looking for pizza, the bianco spinacio is my favorite.
RJ's Burgers & Ice Cream Co. in East Lansing
While everything was delicious at RJ's, I would especially recommend getting their signature Moo Moo sauce to dip your fries in and some ice cream nachos for dessert. The Nana's Banana Pudding ice cream was my favorite.
Angela's Café in Downtown East Lansing
The bacon scramble is my go-to here. I like to add avocado when I'm more flush with cash.

7 Brew in South Lansing
I'm pretty basic with my coffee, so I usually just get a hot mocha when I go. But, I love the mocha at 7 Brew because it tastes a bit darker and richer than some other mochas that can be overly sweet.
Good Truckin' in Old Town Lansing
While Good Truckin' might not be a new restaurant, their new location in Old Town did just open this year. And, it has a bit of an expanded menu. My favorite meal is whatever sweet pancake or French toast is the special that day.
Crown Grill near Old Town Lansing
I like the King's Favorite burger.
