The Holiday season is officially underway. Hopefully you had a awesome Thanksgiving and are ready for the next month of good times and Holiday cheer. Getting into the Christmas spirit will be a lot of fun for you and the fam.

Putting up the Christmas tree, lawn decorations and decorating the inside of our house is always fun. I love watching my kids get excited about the season and as they get older they each come up with different ways they would like to decorate. It's fun for me because I get to wach their imaginations hard at work.

Tonight we will be going to get our fresh cut Christmas tree at Monticello's in Haslett. I love supporting local and these guys are doing it right. If a real Christmas tree interests you this year, check out where you can get your tree here.

Wreaths have always been a part of Christmas decor in my life. Before I had kids I stopped putting a wreath up for many years. I have kids now and we make sure we put up our wreath every year. I did some research about wreaths and found out a little bit about the history of wreaths.

The origin of the wreath comes from santasquareters.com:

In the 16th century, the use of wreaths during Yule was adopted by Christians and became a custom in the form of Advent wreaths. These wreaths were traditionally made of evergreens, which also symbolize eternal life, holly oak, and red berries.

What does the Christmas wreath symbolize? According to time.com:

Together, the circular shape and the evergreen material make the wreath a representation of eternal life. It is also a representation of faith, as Christians in Europe often placed a candle on the wreath during Advent to symbolize the light that Jesus brought into the world.

I think that wreaths look nice. We put one on our front door each year. If you are looking for a nice Christmas wreath this year, check out these amazing mid Michigan vendors.
