Michigan Trunk or Treats: Where to Find the Candy This Weekend
Sometimes, it's easy to forget how important Halloween is to kids in Michigan. For adults, the magic of getting free candy has worn off, much to the utter shock of our children. The youngest of them are just coming to grips with the fact that at least one night a year, you can knock on someone's door, and they answer it. You say "Trick or Treat," and they GIVE you candy.

In recent years, this concept has evolved beyond a one-night sugar-free for-all into several weeks and opportunities to fill plastic pumpkins or pillowcases with sweet stuff. Welcome to the world of Trunk or Treats.
Where to Find Michigan's Best Trunk or Treats This Weekend and Next Week
If you've never attended or heard of a Trunk or Treat, get ready to be envious. You see, kids no longer have to trudge from neighborhood to neighborhood for the best candy booty. Instead, they are offered several chances to fill up their sacks and parade around in their costume while walking from car to car in a parking lot or indoor space for each piece of candy. No more door-to-door unless, of course, you need MORE candy.
While there are literally hundreds, maybe even thousands, of Trunk or Treat Events held throughout the state, I've focused on Mid-Michigan and events hosted by either a non-profit or a senior community. If I missed one, please tap my byline for contact information, and I'll get your non-profit event listed.
