WalletHub's 2025 report on the Happiest Cities in America has arrived, ranking 182 cities across the country based on factors like mental and physical health, income, and separation and divorce rates. This study reveals that a city in Michigan is the epicenter of divorce in the US.

Where does Michigan fit into this utopia of joy, sunshine, and rainbows? Well...let's just say the Mitten State didn't make the top 10 or 20. Or the top 50. Or... never mind, let's move on.
Who's Smiling and Who's Not
While cities like San Jose, Irvine, and Sioux Falls are rolling in happiness, Michigan residents deal with much less cheerful stats. One key finding? Detroit, our Motor City, earned the dubious honor of the having the Highest Divorce Rate in America.
