WARNING: Under no circumstances should you enter this property. By doing so you risk bodily harm and/or prosecution for trespassing on private property.

Well, that warning is all well and good, but I have no idea where this location is anyhow. The videographers have kept that secret – and to make it more difficult to pinpoint its location, they did their recording at night so we can’t even read signs.

What we do know, is that it is an old Detroit apartment building that was closed and abandoned in the 1990s. It is located on the east side of the city which isn’t really much help, since there are numerous abandoned and deserted apartment buildings throughout the entire scope of Detroit.

All throughout the video, the videographers express their fear of the crumbling building, afraid of the unsteady floors and stairs. They also are hesitant due to their apprehension of encountering one or more homeless people who have set up living quarters. At one point, they do hear some faint voices coming from out of the darkness. Some of the homeless squatters or someone – or thing – else?

They mostly show the crumbling stairwells and halls and only show a couple of rooms…but they do go up to the top, where they’re afraid of falling through the deteriorating bondo roof. Maybe so, but they show a great panoramic view of the city engulfed in the darkness of night.

It’s an eleven-story building and they bring home that point at various times throughout. Take a look at the gallery below and see what they saw!
