Sadly late in the night on March 2, 2026 Bruce Campbell wanted to get ahead of the rumors and misleading news that is rampant in today’s world by announcing his cancer diagnosis in an emotional but strong message to his fans that professionally things will have to change for treatment reasons:

Hi folks, these days, when someone is having a health issue, it's referred to as an "opportunity," so let's go with that -I'm having one of those. It's also called a type of cancer that's "treatable" not "curable." I apologize if that's a shock - it was to me too.  The good news is, I'm not gonna go into any more detail. My plan is to get as well as I possibly can over the summer so that I can tour with my new movie Ernie & Emma this fall.

He wanted to address this himself before rumors started to spread in this age of misinformation we live in.

The Western Michigan University alum has been lovingly known by his fans as the "King of B Movies," but has made appearances in Major films like Marvel films, directed by his good friend Sam Raimi, like the first three Spider-Man films and most recently Doctor Strange the Multiverse of Madness.

Bruce Campbell is one of the most beloved actors to ever come out of Michigan, and his movies have played an important role in my life and has a special place in my heart. He truly is an incredible actor and person. We can only hope for comfort, strength and love for him and his family at this time and, as always, hail to the King, baby.
