Kai was dominant at the Durand Invitational over the holidays.  He had 3 pins and a technical fall as he took first place in the 165 lb. weight class.

It's part of an excellent season that Kai is having for the Cougars.  He has a 17-1 record and is looking to become a two-time state qualifier.  He qualified for states last year as a freshman in the 150 lb. weight class.

Kai is a three-sport athlete for Lansing Catholic, playing football in the fall and participating in track and field in the spring.  He hopes to wrestle or play football in college once he gets there.

He is also an excellent student, with a 3.0+ grade point average and wants to study business and/or engineering in college.

You can nominate a high school student-athlete for our weekly award by going to the Lansing Sports Network app.

Congratulations to Kai Mishler, a sophomore on the Lansing Catholic wrestling team.  He's the High School Student-Athlete of the Week.

And it's brought to you every week by Dowding Industries and the Lansing Sports Commission.
