Charlotte HS Swimmer Wins Weekly Honors
Dowding Industries and the Lansing Sports Commission presents the High School Student-Athlete of the Week.
And this week's winner is Adam Rickerd, a sophomore on the Charlotte HS boys swimming team.

Adam is one of the best swimmers in the Lansing area in the sprint events, if not the state. His time of 22.39 in the 50 meter freestyle leads the area, as does his time of 49.90 in the 100 meter freestyle.
He also ranks in the top 10 in the area in the 200 meter freestyle, 200 meter individual medley, 100 meter butterfly, 100 meter backstroke, and the 500 meter freestyle.
Rickerd was a state qualifier last year in the 50 & 100 meter freestyle as a freshman and looks to contend for a state title this year.
He is also a great student, carrying a 3.96 grade point average. He hopes to swim in college and will look to study audio engineering when he gets there.
You can nominate a high school student-athlete by going to the Lansing Sports Network app.
And congratulations to Charlotte HS sophomore Adam Rickerd of the boys swimming & diving team. He's the High School Student-Athlete of the Week. And it's brought to you every week by Dowding Industries and the Lansing Sports Commission.
