There is a massive recall that is hitting Michigan on a popular ingredient many of us use here in the state of Michigan that you should be aware of.
The product was sold nationwide, as well as here in the state of Michigan.

The company called La Fiesta Food Products, LLC just issued a recall of their 8 oz packages of La Fiesta Unseasoned Bread Crumbs (Pan Rayado), as well as another product the Seasoned Bread Crumbs (Pan Rayado Sazonado).
Why?
The product contains undeclared sesame seed, which can cause allergic reactions in those with nut allergies. There also was not a warning in Spanish either.

The products you should watch out for are:
- Unseasoned Bread Crumbs (UPC #032327000886) – Lot codes 26032, 26073, 26082, 26092, 26094, 26,400 (sold April 10, 2024 – Jan. 22, 2025)
- Seasoned Bread Crumbs (UPC #032327000887) – Lot codes 26094, 26123, 6,240 (sold Aug. 29, 2024 – Jan. 22, 2025)
The products were sold across the nation in clear bags, and the lot code will be on the front of each package they distributed.
No illnesses have yet to be reported regarding this possible recall. But, if you do have an allergy that could affect you, you are urged to return the product for a full refund to the store of purchase, or simply throw the product away.
