Everyone knows Horrocks Market in Grand Rapids on 44th Street and Breton Road. They are a fantastic store, grocery, greenhouse, gift center, coffee shop, tavern, and performance stage.

But it looks as if Horrocks is having a bit of trouble with folks in their tavern and the Greenhouse stage.

They posted this notice on Instagram and Facebook the other day.

They went on to say:

"Horrocks Market is proud to be a unique drink-while-you-shop store, and we need these rules in place to keep it that way for you all!

Thank you for your understanding and thank you for your continued support!"
So, who got drunk and forced Horrocks to have to post these rules?

Not only do the pros play on the Greenhouse stage, but the kids from School of Rock. They are budding musicians who study musicianship and are instructed by some top musicians in Grand Rapids  Their love of performing and skill get them a chance to play in front of live audiences, including Horrocks Greenhouse stage.

Notice the incredible drummer, my grandson, Charlie Rent. (shameless plug)

With the tavern, people can grab a drink, beer, or wine, and sit down for a nice concert. They can shop as well, but it does seem that, sadly, some people may be getting a little out of control.

So thanks Horrocks for not overreacting and shutting down the tavern and Greenhouse stage. Controlling the few will help all of us.
