Stay Cool This Summer: West Michigan Pools And Splash Pads Opening Soon

Memorial Day weekend has come and gone, and that means it's finally time to get outside and get some sunshine here in West Michigan. And just in time for warmer weather to roll in, the City of Grand Rapids announced that city pools and splash pads will be opening next week.

According to a post on the city of Grand Rapids Parks and Recreation facebook page, we'll see water on Friday, June 7th.

That means all city pools and splash pads will be open and ready for your family to enjoy. While the splash pads are all free to enjoy throughout the city, admission for the city pools is based on if you're a resident of Grand Rapids or not. For Youth (17 and under), it's $1 and for adults it's $3. For non-resident Youth it's $3, and $5 for adults

Planning to spend a lot of time in the pool this summer? They also offer punch cards and season passes. 10-Punch card is $8 for residents and $18 for non-residents, and a 20-Punch card is  $15 for residents, and $25 for non-residents. Meanwhile, a season pass will run you $80 for residents and $90 for non-residents.

There are a few other outdoor pool openings on the way for West Michigan including:

Holland: Bouws Pool opens on Monday, June 11th

Kalamazoo: The Kalamazoo Municipal Pool is opening on Wednesday, June 5th

Muskegon: Michigan's Adventure will be opening their waterpark for the season on Saturday, June 8th
