The only hard part would be deciding what kind. Would it be thin crust, traditional, Chicago deep dish, or Detroit style?

Michigan is the home of Detroit-style pizza and Buddy's Pizza is credited with being the inventor of it. Personally, I love Jet's Detroit-style pizza but to each their own.

Recently Yelp came out with a list of the top pizza spots in the United States and only one Michigan spot landed on that list.

This Is The Only Pizza Place In Michigan To Make Yelp's Top 100 Pizza Spots

Yelp shared how they decided on what pizza spots were the best in the country.

We identified businesses in the pizza category on Yelp, then ranked those spots using a number of factors, including the total volume and number of 5-star reviews each business had that were written by members of the Yelp Elite Squad. All businesses were marked open on Yelp as of December 5, 2023. When available, all businesses on this list have a passing health score as of December 5, 2023.

Silver Beach Pizza located in St Joseph, Michigan just squeezed onto the top 100 list coming in at #99.

Excellent thin-crust pizza with the classic tavern cut pieces. Very good sausage but the sauce steals the show. Just the right amount of spices. Plenty of specialty pizzas.
Amazing that they can seat so many people and crank out the pizzas in a timely fashion. Restrooms are a bit small for the size of their clientele.
And Sunday bloody marys are amazing.

Without a doubt, they make the best pizza I've ever had. A large variety of options on their menu and every single item tastes delicious & fresh! The staff is super friendly and welcoming. A schooner sized Bloody Mary with a side car is only $5 bucks on Sunday's! I had the absolute best cheeseburger pizza ever there, unfortunately it was only a special and not on their menu but my goodness it was delightful! There's a handful of different dining areas which is nice to have whether you're out with family or friends. Love it & worth the wait!

Ty on Yelp loved the food and the amazing view of the sunsetting

The pizza is fantastic only out done by the awesome staff! Brent is the best bartender and add that gorgeous sunset over Lake Michigan to top it off! This is at the top of our list of favorite places to visit.
