Silvera matched the five white balls 12, 13, 33, 50, and 52 in the March 30th Powerball drawing, securing a $1 million prize.

He purchased his winning ticket at Paris Spirits & Wine, located at 2871 East Paris Avenue Southeast in Kentwood.

Despite the massive windfall, Silvera remains grounded and plans to continue his daily routine.

"Winning is an excellent feeling! As of now, I plan to save my winnings and continue working".

Silvera, a regular Powerball player, initially scanned his ticket at a store and received a message instructing him to visit the Lottery office.

Unsure of his exact winnings, he had a friend scan the ticket using the Lottery app, which confirmed the $1 million prize.

The news of his win left Silvera in disbelief.

"When he showed me his phone screen with the amount of $1 million, I was in disbelief!"

I'm surprised 69 year old Silvera said he plans to continue working.

That's great for him, but If I won $1,000,000 I would take the cash option and try to live off the money for as long as possible.
