Michiganders With Frozen Waffles Should Check For Listeria Recall
It's hard to keep up with all the food recalls that have been happening lately.

Just last week many in Michigan were effected by a massive meat recall.
Now there's a major voluntary recall with frozen waffles sold at multiple stores in Michigan that could contain Listeria.
⬇️ What Is Listeria? ⬇️
Listeria is a bacterium that causes listeriosis, a serious foodborne illness.
This bacterium is commonly found in soil, water, and decaying vegetation.
It can survive and even multiply at refrigeration temperatures, making it particularly concerning for food safety.
What Are Symptoms of Listeria?
Symptoms of listeriosis can vary significantly:
Mild Symptoms: Fever, muscle aches, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea.
Severe Symptoms: If the infection spreads to the nervous system, symptoms may include headache, stiff neck, confusion, loss of balance, and convulsions.
In pregnant women, symptoms may be mild but can lead to severe outcomes such as miscarriage or stillbirth.
The incubation period for listeriosis can range from a few days to several weeks after exposure to contaminated food according to the CDC.

TreeHouse Foods has issued a voluntary recall of over 500 types of frozen waffles due to potential contamination with Listeria monocytogenes.
This decision was prompted by routine testing at their manufacturing facility, which indicated the risk of listeria contamination in several waffle products sold under various brand names across the United States and Canada, including popular retailers like Walmart, Target, and Publix.
