Well one Michigan Seafood joint is getting national attention as one of the best in the entire country.
When I think Michigan seafood, I definitely think whitefish- which this restaurant definitely serves up!

Brown Fisheries Fish House in Paradise, Mich.
This isn't the first time Brown Fisheries has gotten national attention - it's even been written up in the New York Times!
The family-owned restaurant in Michigan's Upper Peninsula is along the shore of Lake Superior - which is where they catch their fresh whitefish.
A waitress at Brown Fish House told Awesome Mitten,
We’re a third-generation commercial fishery and we only serve fresh fish. We go fishing every morning. If we don’t have fish, we don’t open. If we run out of fish, we close early.
Brown Fish House serves whitefish in a variety of ways - smoked, in dip, fried, broiled, and in chowder. You'll also find different specials like perch and trout.
The menu also includes fried shrimp, chicken tenders, deep fried portabella mushrooms and sides like onion rings, fries, and baked potatoes.

A warning - you may have to wait until next season to visit Brown Fish House. According to Google, Brown Fish House is temporarily closed. In a July 24 post to Facebook, a family friend shared on the restaurant's page:
Attention fish fans, this is a friend of the Brown family. They are very sorry they have not been able to open the restaurant yet. The family is dealing with a very personal family matter at this time. Please be patient and understanding. They could really use your prayers and good thoughts for getting through this very difficult time.
