Kent County Police Warn of Surge in Car Break-ins
The Kent County Sheriff's Office is making residents aware of a rash of vehicle break-ins that occurred earlier this week.
Car Break-Ins in Byron Township, Mich.
According to police, on Tuesday, March 5, fourteen cars were broken into in Byron Township. All of the incidents happened in the 68th Street and Clyde Park neighborhoods. One of the vehicles was stolen.
The investigation is on going. In many cases, windows are being smashed out as suspects rummage through the vehicles.
Protect Yourself From Vehicle Break-Ins and Report Suspicious Activity to Police
Police are reminding the public to remain vigilante in removing valuables from cars. If you must keep them in your vehicle, keep them out of sight. It's also recommended to park in a secure location or as close to a building or security camera as possible.
