
Two Michigan Museums Voted Among Ten Best in the U.S.
Michigan is full of fun and educational museums covering a wide range of topics: art, history, science, music, and more. The Mitten State even a horror museum and a magic museum.
Two are being honored among the best in the entire country. USA Today and 10best readers polls sought to find the best science and the best music museums in the U.S.

In each category, twenty were chosen by a panel of experts and then it was put up to a public vote to determine the top ten.
The Michigan Science Center in Detroit has been voted the No. 3 Best Science Museum in the nation.
Located at 5020 John R. Street in Detroit, the museum says its mission is to inspire curious minds of all ages to discover, explore and appreciate science, technology, engineering and math in a creative, dynamic learning environment.

The Michigan Science Center promotes creative and dynamic STEM learning through a series of interactive exhibits. This Detroit cultural district institution features live stage shows, an IMAX Dome, 4D theater, planetarium, and exhibit space with more than 220 hands-on activities and exhibits.
The other Michigan museum to be nationally recognized is Detroit's Motown Museum. It has been voted the No. 6 Best Music Museum in the country. Dubbed "Hitsville U.S.A." the museum is located in a house at 2648 West Grand Boulevard. It is Motown's first headquarters and recording studio.
