More construction will be happening along Michigan Ave in East Lansing all apart of the huge Infrastructure Restructure Project. If you are going to be traveling on or near Michigan Ave just know it will look different soon as 30 trees will be removed along the road starting today. The trees that are going to be removed are mostly located in the median on Michigan Ave so it will look a little different this coming weekend.

The trees are being removed to maintain traffic on the road while new underground sewers are placed on the road. If you are wondering what is happening with the removed trees, they will all be replaced.

The Infrastructure Restructure Project is all about improving above ground and underground systems along Michigan Avenue from Harrison Road to Highland Avenue as well as at the Michigan-Harrison intersection and along some local streets in the area. Also you can see more on the Infrastructure Restructure Project here.
