Just north of Flint on the Flint River is a dam that separates the river from Mott Lake. Specifically, the dam is referred to as "Stepping Stone Falls" and it's a sight to behold.

It's one of the most scenic places you'll come across in the mid-Michigan area; the man-made falls have under water lights and there's plenty of fish in the lake for fishermen.

Riverboat, picnic area, trails, bike path...and it's all free. It's worth the trip just to see the falls and get a few pictures. Take a look at the photos and see what I mean. Stepping Stone Falls is located at 5161 Branch Road in Flint.
