From a "Grassroots Following" to World Tours: About Imagine Dragons

Imagine Dragons formed in 2009 in Las Vegas, Nevada. According to the official Imagine Dragons website, it all started when the band independently released their own EP's and built up a following before signing with a major label.

Their first full-length, debut album, "Night Visions" is what really "planted the flag" for these guys in the industry as a little-known track called "Radioactive" took off to achieve diamond-selling status.

Over the years, Imagine Dragons has continued to put out chart-topping hits with music that always seems to make it into car commercials and excite the masses.

Sure, they've been lumped into categories like "dad rock" and some may even call them "spicy Nickelback" (to which front man Dan Reynolds has responded) for their signature style but one thing remains, people love these guys. Also, let's be real here...Nickelback really isn't even that bad, y'all just like a good bandwagon.

Imagine Dragons Sets out on Mercury World Tour

After releasing their latest album "Mercury - Act 1" in 2021, and you know, waiting for a whole pandemic to calm down, Imagine Dragons announced they are setting out on their Mercury World Tour this summer.

They won't be gong at it alone, though, as they are joined by Macklemore as well as Kings Elliot.

In the announcement on the band's Instagram, presale for tickets starts Monday, March 28th and tickets officially go on sale Friday, April 1st...No, it's not a good idea to prank the Imagine Dragons fan in your life with this one.

Depending on when you grew up, you may remember Pine Knob better as DTE Energy Music Theatre but real ones know, it's always been Pine Knob and rejoiced when it was announced it would be the venue's official name once again.

Many artists have played there when it was DTE but now, they get to take the stage under the Pine Knob name for the first time...Artists like Imagine Dragons.

On Wednesday, August 24th, get ready to head to the crown jewel of Clarkston, Michigan to see Imagine Dragons, Macklemore and Kings Elliot.
