Human Remains Discovered On MSU-Owned Property Near 97.5 NOW FM

The Detroit Free Press reports that police believe human remains that were found today on property owned by Michigan State University near Dunckel Road off the US-127 Jolly Road exit in Lansing are from a person reported missing from the Lansing area.

Authorities discovered the remains today after a student checking research plots on the property yesterday alerted authorities to some items that were found that were believed to belong to a missing person.

The report says police are withholding the person's identity until after a scheduled autopsy.
