I'm sure you have seen the videos of people flocking to the beach when the stay-at-home order was lifted in Florida, but some had a great idea on how to social distance. Instead of just keeping distance at the beach, people made sure to show how much distance they need using seaweed. Yes, seaweed is something you see a lot of when you swim in the ocean, and in some places around the east coast, the beaches are covered in it. So why not use it to show what 6 feet of distance is?

You can see from the picture above as well as the video below, there was plenty of seaweed on the beach and in the water to make multiple social distance squares. My social distance solution for Michigan beaches, because there isn't very much seaweed at Michigan beaches, is to use sticks or lines in the sand to draw our social distance at the beach in the future.
