Here’s Some Construction To Watch Out For in Mid-Michigan
These roads are closed due to either construction or some other road work, so make note of them so you don't get caught in traffic.
First, Jolly road is having a few spots of construction this summer as work just started on on Jolly between Pleasant Grove to Martin Luther King Boulevard will be closed starting Monday. There will be crews working on resurfacing the road as well as making repairs on the sewer and water main. This work should be going on all summer and should end around October.
Next, there are two spots of note due to work by the Lansing BWL as Cedar Street from East Cesar E. Chavez Avenue to Liberty street will be closed until about Wednesday. Then on Wednesday, Verlinden Avenue from West Saginaw to West Oakland will be closed and re-open on Thursday or Friday.
Finally, the work on I-94 in Jackson is starting as they are working on resurfacing and fixng the road for a nine-mile stretch of I-94 from M-60 to Sargent Road. Along with that they are also going to be redesigning the I-94/Cooper Street interchange, which includes new interchanges and a new bridge over the Grand River. You can see more on this big project here, which is looking to take a while to complete.
