Harry Styles made it clear with his solo debut album that he was a fan of classic pop rock sounds, so it comes as no surprise that his rendition of Fleetwood Mac's "The Chain," which he performed on BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge on Monday (September 11), was about as authentic as it gets.

While some artists aim to change things up with covers, Harry kept things by the book, except for the epic distorted instrumental ending. It's likely he made the enduring rock icons proud.

"I'm just such a massive fan of them as a band and of the music," Harry told Clara Amfo on the radio show. "And everyone in the band sings, and it's something we could...cover vocally. So we should try it, and we really loved it."

Aside from the cover, Harry also performed "Sign of the Times" and "Two Ghosts."
