Grand Ledge High School and some of its residents are looking to upgrade their football stadium from field grass to artificial turf. This is according to the Lansing State Journal, as a group of parents, teachers and community members have started a campaign to raise $750,000 in the next seven months to pay for an upgrade at the football stadium that the district can’t afford.

The improvement would allow more of the school’s sports teams and groups to use the stadium. In addition the stadium will be used for more community events as well.

With the upgrade it would also make Grand Ledge’s football stadium one of only a handful in the Lansing area that have turf football fields.
