Gas Prices Expected to Rise This Week

If you haven't noticed gas prices have spiked up a bit statewide as they have risen by about 11 cents a gallon in the past week.....but for us lucky Lansing area drivers we saw a jump of about 23 cents per gallons last week.

According to AAA, the average price for self-serve regular unleaded gasoline statewide was about $2.52 per gallon. Currently, according to the Gas Buddy app, gas in Lansing is as low as $2.39 (at a station on MLK) to as high as $2.51 (at a few Speedway stations). If prices do go down this week they will drop towards the end of the week, as most prices are changed on Wednesday or Thursday.
