We already know that lots of things are closed and cancelled this summer in and around the Lansing area. So, let's focus instead on some of the things that are OPEN. For instance, did you know that the Splash Pad at Hawk Island recently opened? Yep, it's true. According to the Ingham County Parks website, the Splash Pad opened on July 4th and is now open seven days a week from 9 am until 8 pm through Labor Day. By the way, the swimming beaches at Burchfield Park, Hawk Island, and Lake Lansing South are also open. They also opened back up on July 4th and are scheduled to remain open through Labor Day. They'll be open from 10 am until 8 pm every day.

Not into splash pads or swimming? How about some disc golf instead? You can do some disc golf this weekend at Burchfield Park. They've got two courses that you can check out including the Renegades Trail and Rivers Edge. Since the temperatures are going to be a little cooler this weekend, it might be a great time to check out those courses. You can click here to find out more and to print out a score card.

There are MANY other fun things to do at the parks in Ingham County including biking, hiking, fishing, kayaking, horseshoes and more. Click here to see all of your options.
