Opening sometime in the fall will be a new full service health clinic.  It will be called the Allen Place clinic and it will open up on East Kalamazoo Street in Lansing.

Everybody I know seems to be pretty happy about this new clinic opening in an area that hasn't ever seen a health clinic before.

According to the Lansing State Journal:

The Ingham County Health Department and Allen Neighborhood Center are partnering to create a new federally qualified health center to better serve the health care needs of eastside residents. The Allen Place clinic will offer primary care, behavioral health and laboratory services and include on on-site pharmacy, said Kris Drake, ICHD executive director and deputy health officer.

Having a nice health clinic at the Allen Neighborhood Center will offer many benefits to so many people.  Not only the health clinic, but the fact that there will be a grocery store, farmers market, apartments, and more.

Lansing State Journal also tells us:

The Board of Commissioners in April set aside $750,000 to develop the new health center.  The commissioners in 2020 approved a lease between the health department and Allen Neighborhood Center to lease 4,188 square feet.

Whenever I see new construction work being done in and around Lansing, we have to believe it's going to be something spectacular when it's finished.  The Allen neighborhood health clinic is going to be one of those places.

Lansing State Journal adds:

The center is an enrollment site for Medicaid and Affordable care Act insurance programs and staff tries to connect people with nearby medical services, Nelson said.  With the clinic, newly enrolled people will be able to access medical care only several doors down form the service center, she said.
