The Ultimate Fried Chicken & Fried Food Go-Tos in Lansing

Fried food is a love for many people. I used to eat a lot of fried food, however as I get older I realize that my time on Earth is limited so I have dropped a ton of weight and I am making better food choices when I eat.

That doesn't mean that I don't crave some fried food occasionally. I prefer fried food in the fall and winter. I am a seasonal eater. I am not the guy that is going to throw together a meatloaf in July. That's a November thru February meal in my opinion. When it comes to fried food I normally associate with football and winter. Having friends over to watch the game and getting some good fried grub is always a crowd pleaser.

I will try anything. No fear here. When it comes to fried food I love chicken wings, chicken tenders, fried lake perch, fried cheese of any kind, fried mushrooms, fried pickles, fried cauliflower, fried spam, fried Oreos, fried Twinkies and the list goes on.

There are some legit places in Lansing if you're looking to score some fried food. Many of which can handle the size crowd you anticipate coming over for the big game. Ordering food makes it easy and there's a lot less clean up. Cooking with grease can get nasty. I love hosting friends and family, but I don't like the prep or the cleanup. Ordering from one of these locations knocks out two birds with one stone. No prep and minimal clean up.

Consider these Top Fried Chicken locations according to yelp. Keep in mind some of these locations fry way more then just chicken. Maybe get yourself some chicken livers, yum. I have been to many of these locations, my list is comparable however I have East Side Fish Fry & Grill at the top followed by Joe's Gizzard City.

Only place in Lansing that give us actually fantastic food and service I say that because any other food on the south side of Lansing is not worth your money and will make you sick. Chicken is better for you then beef. Crack chicken supply's the whole south side their zesty lemon tangy chicken that is unmatched anywhere . Because this is the original!! People talk about crack chicken well this is the OG spot!  Their food is always fantastic. Love those guys in there!!  Hard working family

The full wings wings are great, sauced well, naked (no breading) so it's just good crispy skin. Staff was friendly. Only downside was is it took a little longer then expected; not a huge issue as no restaurant seems to have enough people.

So glad we came here! Food was great,  service from Justin was outstanding!. Everyone was so friendly here,  what a fun place to go. Worth a trip down here just for this. I had the gizzard dinner,  never have had gizzard so tender. Micah had a seafood platter, shrimp, scallops & fish with battered fries. Freyja has chicken tenders.  We had Appetizers of huge battered onion rings,  mozzarella sticks,  nachos. I had the peanut butter porter. Evening was great
