There have, so far, been 9 deaths reported nationwide as the result of an ice storm pushing across the country.  Today, we may experience slick conditions as well, so plan ahead and exercise extreme caution if you'll be traveling.

A Freezing Rain Advisory goes into effect at 11am Monday and will remain in effect until 2am on Tuesday.  That means lunch, and especially the drive home on Monday, could be dangerous.

Additionally, freezing rain can lead to downed trees, power lines and power outages.

We'll top out at around 35 degrees today and hover around the freezing mark tonight before climbing to 42 degrees on Tuesday.
