It seems there have been a lot of recalls here in the state of Michigan recently, but I don't think we've seen one get updated by the FDA after the fact. Not recently at least.

The recall was upgraded due to the possibility of a listeria contamination. Listeria is a deadly infection that can cause severe illness.

The products that were affected were their 12-oz bags, with a best by use date of 12/10/24, with a lot code of BFFG327A6.

The UPS's related to the recall are:

  • 6 81131 32884 5

These are no longer on store shelves but could still be in freezers in homes across Michigan.

If you do have any, you should discard of them immediately, or attempt to return them for a full refund.

Listeria can often be found in soil, water, as well as other foods. It is still able to grow, even when in a refrigerated environment.

Listeria is known to cause muscle aches, gastrointestinal issues, and fevers. Those with weakened immune systems, the elderly or even younger individuals are most susceptible to the illness.
