According to a new report from WILX, it predicts that even more spam and robocalls will be coming to your home and cell phones. The new report from First Orion predicts that nearly half of all U.S. mobile traffic next year will be scam calls.

They got this prediction from listening to and analyzing more than 50,000,000,000 calls over the past year and a half. Of those nearly 50 billion calls there was an increase over the year in mobile scam or spam calls from 4% to nearly 30%! The company also predicts that nearly half or more than half of all calls next year to cell phones will be frauds or spammers.

These calls are so annoying and most of the time I just swipe them off and don't even pick up, which is exactly what you should do when you get a call from an unknown number. Most and nearly all of the time, a spam or robocall won't leave a message so not even picking these calls up are easy for you.

If you get a lot of robocalls or spammers, there are a few apps out there to help.

  • First you can get a Caller ID app, they are usually free and will screen the call before you and will tell you if this is a call from a real phone or a fake.
  • Also there is an app called, RoboKiller, and it does what the name says, it blocks all robocalls or any numbers that your phone or contacts don't recognize.
