East Lansing Art Festival This Weekend

The East Lansing Art Festival is back all this weekend, so get all the details on where to park, road closures, and where the events are taking place.

First the Festival is FREE and is located in downtown East Lansing, on Albert Ave. between M.A.C. Ave and Bailey St. The East Lansing Art Festival will be happening on Saturday from 10a - 6p and on Sunday from 10a - 5p.

There are going to be tons of art, obviously, as well as pop-up theaters and galleries all over Albert Ave in several of the businesses. There will also be live music on two stages; the Main Stage is located on the parking lot on the south east corner of Albert Ave. & Bailey St as well as second stage on northwest corner of Charles St. & Albert Ave. Another thing to see is the Artist Demonstration Area which allows people to as the artist questions as the artists are working with glass, metal, collage, prints, paint, assemblage, ceramics, fiber and computers. There will also be some Parking Lot Closures: First City West Lot and Bailey Parking Lot will be closed from 2am on 5/18/18 to Sunday Night at 10p. Ann Street Plaza & Fountain Square & East Plaza @ University Place will be closed from 6am on 5/18 and open as well at 10p on Sunday.

Next there are a few Street Closures as at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 18 these roads will be closed: Albert Avenue, from Grove Street to Bailey Street, M.A.C. Avenue, from Grand River Avenue to the driveway entrance of the East Lansing Marriott at University Place. They will be re-opening on Sunday, May 20 at 10 p.m. More on the closures here.
