Drake Passes Rihanna for Most Weeks at No. 1 on Billboard Hot 100 This Decade

Earlier today (July 30), the folks at Billboard reported that Drake's latest hit single, "In My Feelings," had secured the No. 1 spot on their Hot 100 Chart for the third week. In doing so, the Scorpion single allowed Drizzy to pass Rihanna as the artist with the most weeks atop the hallowed chart this decade.
According to the publication, "In My Feelings" is positioned at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for the week ending on Aug. 4. That makes Drizzy's 42nd week holding down the No. 1 spot on the chart. Rihanna previously held the record with 41.
The success of Drizzy's latest hit single came from a perfect mixture of social media and Drizzy's knack for making infinitely memorable tunes that pull at the heart strings of fans everywhere. The track was always going to be a big success, but when social media comedian Shiggy uploaded a video of himself dancing to the song, the "In My Feelings" challenge was born. With countless people streaming the track for their entries into the challenge, the song got a sizable boost.
In another interesting development, 6ix9ine's new Nicki Minaj and Murda Beatz-assisted single, "FeFe," popped into the Hot 100 chart at No. 4. At the bottom of the top 10 is Tyga, whose Offset-assisted single, "Taste," just went platinum. landed in the Billboard Hot 100 chart's top 10.
