Downtown Lansing & Capital Area To Get New Hotels and More

Downtown Lansing around and near the Capitol could be getting a new look. According to the Lansing State Journal, a few developers are submitting ideas and plans for a space across from the Capitol in downtown Lansing, most have offered hotel and retail space plans.

Some plans have proposed spaces for apartments, spas, restaurants and retail.  “Economically it’s huge,” Lansing Mayor Virg Bernero said.  “Whatever the proposal, it’s going to bring new people into the downtown either to live or to visit.
