*UPDATE* Gunner has found his fur-ever home!

Have you heard the story of Gunner? Well this handsome little guy has been through quite a bit, and his story of survival is amazing.

Gunner is about five years old and he has a strong will to live. Gunner was running through a farm field when he was shot by a a farmer. The wounded dog then ran into the woods where he survived three weeks in the wild, with a gunshot wound to his chest, before anyone found him and rescued him.

The pup has been living at the Saginaw County Animal Care and Control Center in Saginaw as of June. He is the longest living animal at that shelter, and sits there day after day watching all the other animals being adopted over him.

Thanks to treatment from a veterinarian, he has made a full recovery. The shelter workers really believe in Gunner. He is about 5 years old and looking for a home (which he so deserves). He is good with children but is looking for a place where he can be the only pet.

The Saginaw County Animal Care and Control Center has even reduced adoption fees for Gunner in hopes he can find his forever home sooner.  You can call that shelter if you would like more information on Gunner at 1-989-797-4500. Or if you can't adopt at this time you can always send in a donation.
