Detroit Pistons vs Cleveland Cavs Facing Off at Breslin Center

The Detroit Pistons will be starting off their season playing a game at the Breslin Center. The game will be a preseason game against the Cleveland Cavaliers at 7 p.m. on Oct. 12.

According to NBA.com and the Cavs website, this will be the first-ever game the Cavs play at Breslin. This is significant as the owner of the Cavs is Dan Gilbert, who has a building (Gilbert Pavilion) named after him and also houses the Tom Izzo Hall of History.  The Gilbert Pavilion opened on Oct. 20, 2017 and was funded through private donations, including contributions from Michigan State alumnus Dan Gilbert and his wife, Jennifer Gilbert.
