MLive is reporting that the Detroit Lions have not had any new COVID-19 cases in the last 12 days.

That's a big improvement since the team put eight players, including Matthew Stafford and Kenny Golladay, on the team's COVID-19 list at the start of training camp last month.

The team was supposed to start the 2020 preseason on Thursday night. That's when they were scheduled to face the New England Patriots.  But with the COVID-19 outbreak, all NFL preseason games were canceled for 2020.

The Lions will begin the 2020 regular season on September 13th at Ford Field against the Chicago Bears.
