According to a new report from MLive, Credit card data may have been stolen from hundreds of motels chains across the country. Along with the hundreds across the country there are also 42 properties in Michigan that are under notice.

One of the chains that put out the warning was the IHG group. IHG operates several hotel chains such as; Holiday Inn brands, Candlewood Suites, Crowne Plaza and Staybridge Suites.

According to IHG, an investigations is underway after people said they were having charges not made by them after staying in one of their hotels. Michigan was the hardest hit state with 42 properties where the potential threats have happened. Most big towns and cities were impacted like Lansing, Jackson, and Jackson.
