Craving Chicken? Zehnder’s And Bavarian Inn Reopen Dining Rooms
Restaurants and bars can open with restrictions on Monday, June 10th. Zehnder's and the Bavarian Inn are the exception. Due to the flooding in Saginaw County, both Frankenmuth hotspots were allowed to open early for dine in service.
I remember going to Zehnder's for the chicken dinner with my family when I was a kid. I felt like I was on another planet. The second time I went to Frankenmuth was again with my family - but this time with a brother I had just met. True story, my dad got word he had a son who lived in Germany. Where do you take a kid from Germany for the first time in the United States? My parents picked Frankenmuth. We had a fun day, but I do recall my brother saying 'this is not German'. I still laugh about that.
If you are itching for a chicken dinner, keep in mind that both restaurants are following state of Michigan guidelines. Capacity will be limited and patrons must follow social distancing guidelines. That being said, this would make a nice day or night out for your family. Have a delicious dinner, and walk around Frankenmuth after.
I am looking forward to going back to the Frankenmuth Brewery and Tiffany's Food & Spirits. If you have not been to either establishment, I highly recommend both.
Hours for Zehnder's are as follow,
- Monday - Sunday 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Hours for the Bavarian Inn are as follow,
- Monday - Sunday 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM
As far as my brother goes, he has lived in the states now for countless years - currently in Tennessee. His name is Pat, and he is awesome. To my knowledge, he never went back to Frankenmuth. Maybe I will take him next time he is in Michigan?
