If you're a fan of Costco, you may want to do a quick fridge sweep, as there is a recall hitting Michigan Costco locations, and it's about some of the easy deli staples that most of us enjoy on busy nights.

Costco and Ventura Foods are recalling two items because they may contain small pieces of plastic in the food. That's more than just a little inconvenience. Plastic in your salad could create choking hazards or cuts in your mouth, as well as your digestive tract, that could even lead to infection or surgery.

Here is what you should watch for in your fridge:

  • The Caesar Salad
    • Item Number: 19927
  • Chicken Sandwich with Caesar Salad
    • Item Number: 11444
    • Best By Dates: October 17th through November 9, 2025

The salad may also be labeled as "Kirkland Signature Caesar Salad with Caesar Dressing and Croutons." You should pay attention to the Kirkland name, even if it isn't in the items directed above.

If you do have any of the objects above, you should not eat them. You should simply toss them or take them back to Costco to get a refund on the product. Costco's refund policy is very easy to work with as well.

This recall is the latest in a string of Costco recalls tied to Michigan this year, including Kirkland Signature Prosecco with bottles that could unexpectedly shatter, Dubai-style chocolate with an allergen labeling mistake, and Jimmy Dean Pancake & Sausage on a Stick, which was recalled after having wood pieces in the batter.
