Starting Friday morning (TODAY/August 10th) at 10 a.m., MDOT is closing the southbound lane of US-127 between I-69 and Grand River Avenue.

MDOT crews will repaving the road in that area for much of the weekend.

The work is scheduled to wrap up by Sunday afternoon.

The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is investing more than $2 million to repair concrete on 13 miles of southbound US-127 from I-69 to I-496 and on eastbound I-69 BL (West Saginaw Street) between US-127 and the Ingham/Clinton county line.

TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS:
Southbound US-127 will be closed from M-43 (Grand River Avenue) to I-496, including the southbound US-127 ramp to westbound I-496. The detour route will have motorists exit southbound US-127 at Grand River Avenue, then take southbound Howard Street to the next available on ramp. Eastbound I-69 BL will have single-lane closures.
