The best part about being at a live baseball game at a park or stadium is...well after this pandemic it'll be everything.

Honestly, I can't wait to get out and get back to doing stuff. I can't wait to get back to a ballpark and watch a game. Lansing, Grand Rapids, Detroit, wherever.

The foodie in me won't let it go either. One of the best things about going to a game is the food. A hot dog just tastes different, or dare I say better, at the game. It also tends to be a little more expensive but I digress.

And while you can stop at plain ole hot dog, fancy stadium fare has become the norm. It's almost another draw to the game.

Speaking of which, while I'm talking locally and before I get to Detroit and Comerica Park, you simply must catch a game in Grand Rapids with the Whitecaps. The food there is amazing and completely out of bounds. See Beer Cheese Poutine with Pulled Pork and search the infamous 5/3 Burger which has since been retired.

They even have something called a Rocky Balburrito: Cheesesteak rolled into a burrito with cheese, onions and green peppers and deep fried. (WZZM13)

While researching crazy ballpark food for major league stadiums from around the country, I had to see what the Tigers and Comerica Park had to offer up.

I was not disappointed and now I really need opening day to get here April 1st so I can try these out. If they are still serving them.

Detroit is all things coney right? And at Comerica Park they have two over the top coney inspired treats for you during the game.

First, from the folks at Little Caesars:

Coney Dog Pizza: The Ilitch family also happens to own Comerica Park meaning Little Caesars Pizza is never far from reach. The chain’s pizza-coney mashup features a Detroit-style square pizza crust with chili for sauce, cheese, mustard, onions, and sliced hot dogs. (Detroit Eater)

Mind you, this one was big back in 2017 & 2018. Hoping it's still there and on the menu.

Or maybe they evolved that into this.

Ladies and gentlemen, feast your eyes on the Coney Dog Egg Roll.

...an egg roll stuffed with hot dogs, chili, mustard, and onions. It’s an ode to a Detroit classic and not a bad option for ballpark food, either. (Detroit Eater)

Now let me be clear, I looked these up and they are listed as being from a year or so back. So I'm hoping, wishing, and praying they are still on the menu when they have opening day on April 1st.

Honestly, I don't care what's on the menu. As long as it's not too cold (yeah right good luck with that) and there's baseball on the field.

Whatever I'll be eating at the game will taste like getting back to normal.

With extra mustard.
