This weekend is sure to be a tasty one, what with one of the biggest (and most delicious) events of the year going down on Saturday... The Taste of Downtown. And this year is going to be the biggest year yet, according to the Lansing State Journal.

The Taste of Downtown is a chance for everyone to sample food and drink from various Downtown eateries. And this year, 15 different restaurants will be offering their wares, marking the event's biggest year yet. Not only is this the biggest year to date, the event also boasts some brand new restaurants. Added to the lineup this year: Lou & Harry's, Red's Smokehouse, For Crepe Sake (which I am so stoked for), Crafty Palate, and Beer Grotto. And, for some adult beverages, you can expect American Fifth Spirits to be handing out cocktail samples made with their signature HUE Vodka (which is crazy delicious btw). You can get a sneak peak into the other restaurants on scene by clicking HERE.

The chance for you to indulge and enjoy happens this Saturday from 3 until 8 p.m. in the 100 block of Washington Square. Adult tickets are $20 in advance, and $25 at the door; kids are $5 in both instances.  And when you purchase an adult ticket, along with the 4 food tickets and 6 wine/beer tickets, you get a keepsake "Taste of Downtown" wine glass. But, try to get there early... the wine glasses are while supplies last. If you don't want to wait to purchase your tickets, you can get them early by clicking HERE.

I cannot wait until Saturday. Going to the Taste of Downtown is going to be another first for me. And what a great year to be going! I'll see ya down there... probably with some stretchy pants on, ha!
